While people have lived in the area since the Neolithic period, most of the artifacts found are from the Iberian and Roman times. The city was moved to its current location by the Arabs in the 10th century, who also planted the iconic palm tree groves. After the city was reconquered by Jaime I, the Christians lived inside the city walls in Vila Murada, while the Jews and Moors settled outside the walls in Raval.

Elche is a great place to live for many more reasons. Elche enjoys a Mediterranean climate with an average annual temperature of around 18°C (64°F). This makes Elche a perfect place to live for those who love spending time outdoors. The beaches along the Costa Blanca are famous for their soft, sandy shores and clear waters.

The area is well-connected, with an international airport and high-speed trains to major cities in Spain. The cost of living in Elche is generally lower than in many other parts of Spain.

In conclusion, Elche is a city where history, culture, natural beauty, and modern convenience come together, offering a wonderful place to live.
